Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary situated in Alipurduar Sub-Division of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal is famous for its single horned Rhinos. River Torsha runs through this riverrain forest sanctuary which is mostly covered with tall grasses. The wild life, in addition to the famous single horned rhinos, consists of Gaurs, wild elephants, deers, swamp deers, hog deers, wild pigs, and a number of birds, pea-fowl etc.

Gorumara

Gorumara, unique for its diversity is spread in the foothills of the Himalayas in the flood plains of Moorty and Jaldhaka rivers, comprising of 80 sq. kms. including the upper Tondu reserve and Chapramari wild life sanctuary. This is the most important migratory corridor of the Asiatic Elephant.
Baba. This is also the residence of the Indian one horned Rhino and herds of Gaur the Indian bison. It is a birdwatcher's paradise and the sights and sounds of this beautiful forest can be enjoyed from the the Garati watch Tower.

Singhalila National Park is the highest located National Park(between 2400 m to 3650m A.S.L.) in West Bengal, and is situated in the extreme north western boundary of Darjeeling District. The park is not only famous for its wildlife but also offers one of the best trekking routes in the eastern Himalayas - from Maneybhanjang near Darjeeling, via Tonglu to Sandakphu (35Km) and Phalut. The view of the Kanchendzonga range of peaks from Sandakphu is a breathtaking and unforgettable one.
The Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary offers some beautiful trekking routes from Sukna. Golaghat, Deorali and the Latpancher-Mana track are the favourites for trekking and bird watching.
Senchal Sanctuary, adjoining Darjeeling town, is the home of barking deer, wild pigs, himalayan black bear, leopards, jungle cats, common rhesus monkeys, assamese macaque, himalayan flying squirrels, etc.
The Neora Valley National Park is reckoned as an unexplored treasure trove of flora and fauna.
